The property is situated between the Murcian villages of La Encarnacion and La Almudema. It is a 12-minute drive from Caravaca de la Cruz – known as the City of Legends and recognised as the fifth holiest city in Christianity.
The Sanctuary of Santa Cruz houses a beautiful, miraculous cross celebrated for its healing powers. The city is a destination for pilgrims from all over the world. In 2017, Caravaca celebrated its seventh anniversary, an honour presented by Pope Jean-Paul II.
The hotel is located just on the edge of the Sierra Espuña National Park, close to the Murcian vineyards of Jumilla, Yecla and Bullas and the historic city of Lorca. It is less than an hour’s drive from Corvera airport and 1.5 hours from Alicante airport.
It is also around forty minutes from the beach and only three hours from Granada and the Sierra Nevada, ideal for skiing.
The property has been completely renovated. New roofs, new plumbing and electricity have been installed. The “cortijo” has been furnished with great attention to detail and is beautifully presented with traditional solid wood doors and treated wooden beams throughout.
